Contest Time

We've been busy over here at Chez Wannabe enjoying the summer and all that it entails. Well....okay, maybe not enjoying the 110 degree heat, but nonetheless doing what we can to beat it and stay cool. This has involved countless hours in the pool, playing games inside (hello, 110!) and quite a bit of baking. I was inspired by A Friend To Knit With and her "Cookie of the Week" project she did with her the Buggernut and I have been doing some baking every week. Not necessarily cookies every week, but something baked. I plan on doing this all summer long. :)

So, I think a contest is long overdue, don't you? I'm going to have 2 prizes. One for a knitter and one for a non-knitter. First, let me indulge you with some cuteness.

The 'Nut and I baked for a Rescue bake sale. We made Snickerdoodles and used boxes a la Martha to package them beautifully. And of course, had to make a few dozen more to share with neighbors and fill our tummies. :)

This past week we made Sara's Strawberry Muffin recipe. These were OUT OF THIS WORLD amazing. Again, cupcake liners a la Martha. Notice the color choice. Ehem.

So here's the scoop. My little helper went thru a big change this week. If you've read the blog for a while you know that I post lots of pics of her. If you can correctly guess the change, you will be entered into a drawing for one of 2 yummy prizes. There is a big hint in one of the pictures of her.

Prize #1 will be for knitters: A custom "Wannabe" skein of sock yarn from the very talented The Plucky Knitter.
Prize #2 for the non-knitters: A pair of pretty earrings from current Etsy addiction.

You have until Tuesday, July 3 to leave me a comment to be entered into the drawing. Happy Guessing!

It's looking to me like she got herself a haircut. So cute!!!

Awesome baking. I think I'm going to need your Snickerdoodle recipe. DH's uncle loves those cookies and I love to bake and send them to Iowa for him.

I am not guessing cuz I KNOW the answer....but I have to comment on your post. HELLO....over the top, perfect baker! I thought I named you Amanda, not Martha!!! All I can say is WOW! Bet your offerings get snapped up in a minute at the bake sale.

OK - since you insist I guess - my guess is that the plastic lips are no longer part of her daily routine. I have not seen as much of them lately, and I know you were cutting back, so that is my guess...though I agree her hair looks different, but on closer inspection I think it was just more freshly combed out of something. And I STILL think you are Wannabe-Martha!!!! Bwahahahaha

Adorable wee haircut! The bags, liners, etc. you have for packaging your baking are just wonderful too.

You are such a Becky Home-ecky! Adorable...I know the answer, but won't spoil it for anyone.

My guess would be she has given up the pacifier. If I'm right-- please tell me your secret.

YOU are rediculously Mathalicious! Remind me to never be a part of a bake sale you are part of. I will die of inadequacy.

I will recuse myself from the contest, since you already told me what it was!

Ooooo, yummy!!! I love how the cookie packages came out. You are a pro!!

Okay, I scoured the pictures, and I can't find a missing tooth or earrings . . . so I'm going with my first thought - a new haircut. I hope I guessed right!! :)

obvi since i'm your SISTER i should know this answer, but seeing as we didn't talk all week...well i feel like a crappy aunt that i don't know. my guess is...miss buggernut has started using the potty frequently enough for a sleepover! i'm not entirely sure though. i will call you tomorrow k? love you!

I have gone back through your archives and looked for earrings, teeth missing, hair cuts. Well, its just a guess but her hair does look a bit shorter? Anyhoo, those cookies + the boxes are adorable!
